At 60 years old, Ramon Tacula, a hardworking farmer from Pigcawayan, North Cotabato, struggled with blurry and painful vision that made his daily life and farm work difficult.

Thanks to the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation’s cataract surgery program, Ramon’s life transformed. With the support of his family and community, Ramon underwent surgery and began his journey to regain his sight. Now, he can work with ease and see the faces of his loved ones again. He is deeply grateful for the gift of clearer vision and the blessings he received.

🌟 Transforming Lives Through Clear Vision! 🌟

Last month, we had the incredible privilege of partnering with the Philippine Jesuits Prison Service, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Philippines, Ephpheta Foundation for the Blind, and Success and Money Foundation.org to bring much-needed eye screenings to the community. Together, we set the stage for our recent CIW Cataract Surgical Mission—a resounding success that brought the gift of sight to so many in need!

Thanks to this mission, we dispensed 266 pairs of eyeglasses, performed 53 cataract surgeries, and completed 9 pterygium removals. Each number reflects a life changed and a brighter future ahead.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this possible. Every effort has truly helped make a difference, one clear view at a time. 💙👓
